Avoid the word “but”. This short three letter word can have quite a negative effect. For example saying “Your report is overall good but it is missing a few points” will be interpreted as “the report wasn’t good”. Instead, try replacing your “buts” with “and”. For example, “Your report is overall good and let’s just add a few things”.
