How to be Great at Anything You Want and Live an Extraordinary Life

by Coach Kardan

What is excellence? According to the dictionary, excellence is “the quality of being outstanding or extremely good.” But what does that really mean? At its core, excellence is a commitment to constantly strive to be better. It’s an ongoing quest to improve oneself and one’s skill set, push boundaries, and achieve new heights, even when the journey is difficult. It’s about standing out among the ordinary, and never giving up, even in the face of failure. In short, excellence is about always striving for greatness. When we see someone committing themselves fully to excellence, it reminds us of our own potential and that is what makes it so inspiring. And H. H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates said “Excellence is not a luxury, it is a moral and patriotic duty”. But how can you become “Excellent”? Here are 5 steps to start with.

  1. Decide to become excellent

If you want to be excellent, start with with making the decision to be excellent. Excellence is a habit, and a mindset, it’s a way of thinking, and behaving that becomes second nature with practice. The more you practice it, the easier it will become. And soon enough, you’ll find yourself achieving things you never thought possible.

2. Believe in yourself

To be excellent, you have to believe that you can be excellent. You must have to have faith in your ability to achieve greatness. You have to be willing to put in the hard work required to get there. So wake up every day determined to be better than the day before, and soon enough you’ll achieve greatness.

3. Exceed expectations

To exceed expectations, we must first identify what our personal best is, and then set our sights even higher. We need to be constantly challenging ourselves to do better, and pushing ourselves to reach new levels of achievement. This may mean setting bigger goals or taking on more challenging tasks.

4. Be brave and embrace change

Those who are able to embrace change are often the most successful. After all, change provides opportunities for growth, and development. It can also lead to new ways of thinking, and working, which can result in improved efficiency, and effectiveness. For businesses, embracing change is essential if they want to stay competitive. You also need to be willing to take risks, and experiment with new ideas.

5. Be persistent

And finally, you have to be persistent. You can’t give up when the going gets tough; you have to keep pushing forward until you reach your goal. It’s not something you achieve overnight; it’s something you work towards each and every day.

Excellence is a source of motivation, and inspiration, and that is why it is so important. Pursuing excellence is how we push ourselves to be better, reach our full potential, and make the world a better place. So what are you waiting for? Start working towards excellence today!
