Dr. Maya is the 1st Ph.D. scholar in Emotional Intelligence and its effect on leadership. She has been the development and planning manager at Dubai Carmel School since 2014 and has more than 14 years of professional work. She was a TEDx speaker in 2019. Dr. Maya received the Life Achievement Award by H. H. Sheikh Ahmad bin Faisal AlQassimi in 2020 for her volunteering efforts. H. H. Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid AlNuaimi chose her as a Knight of the Tolerance Knights in 2019. Alongside her outstanding achievements, she is also considered among the most influential 100 personalities for the year 2021 in MENA in supporting women, children, and SEND.

Dr. Maya is committed to serving society. And she was an ambassador of community service in the Gulf in 2020. She was also an ambassador of knowledge in the UAE Red Crescent from 2017-2018. Dr. Maya is an Adjunct Faculty in 3 universities and colleges in Dubai. She is a certified trainer and has trained over 900 hours around the UAE. She has been a speaker at various events around the UAE, and she is a well-known social media influencer in the UAE. Besides her public speaking and training, Dr. Maya enjoys walking and meditation.

Adding onto her inspirational accomplishments, Dr. Maya is the Author of both books: "أسرار التجديد في زمن الكوفيد," published in 2020, and You Lead Your Life, published in 2022. She is also the Columnist in Sayedatti Magazine and AlKhaleej Newspaper.
